Jump Rope for Heart
Posted onWe are so excited to announce that we are participating in Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart in coordination with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Students in Kindergarten - grade 5 learned all about this today at a kick off assembly. Grade 6 - 8 students will learn details about the event early next week in PE class.
This event teaches our students about the importance of giving back and encourages them to learn the EASY healthy habits, so they understand the importance of staying active, eating well and taking care of their heart and brain health.
On Thursday February 13th, all students and staff are invited to participate in a fun, active day focusing on skipping and basketball. Kinder to grade 5 students will move around the school to a variety of different skipping/activity stations. Grade 6 - 8 students will be playing in a 3 vs 3 basketball tournament. We encourage all students to dress in active wear and wear red to support heart health.
The funds our school raises will help support important heart and brain research funded by Heart & Stroke. There are some great incentives to help motivate students to fundraise.
