Parent Volunteer Information

VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME!

Volunteers play a very important role in helping us to provide a quality education for all students. Moms, dads, and grandparents are certainly welcome. Volunteers may be asked to prepare classroom materials, read with students, prepare bulletin boards, photocopy materials, serve hot lunches, help in the library, accompany students on field trips etc.

For parents who are planning to volunteer at Langdon School, we require a criminal record check.

For those that have CRCheck at the school recorded, you can get your declaration forms for this year by clicking here.

Please note according to our records,  you must go to the RCMP detachment that supports where you live.

When volunteering, please remember to sign in at the office and pick up a lanyard.

RVS & Langdon Procedure

- ALL volunteers must complete the school lead orientation before they are allowed to volunteer.

- Volunteers must contact the teacher and school administration to join our team.

- Rocky View School Division will not ask for vaccination status of any student, staff member, or volunteer.

SECURITY PROTOCOLS

To add another layer of due diligence in the effort to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff in the Division, all volunteers must complete Criminal Record Check. Vulnerable Sector Check will be required of those volunteers that would like to coach or volunteer in a one to one environment with students.

Visitors and presenters do not require a Criminal Record or Vulnerable Sector Check as they must be appropriately supervised by staff at all times.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
